eDocket

Terms of service

Last updated 27 July 2026 · Faspro, LLC

These terms govern your use of eDocket. They are written to be read — plain where they can be, precise where they must be. Sections 2, 11 and 18 are the ones most worth your attention: what eDocket is not, what stays your responsibility, and how our liability is limited.

1. Who these terms are between

eDocket is operated by Faspro, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Faspro”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service govern your use of the eDocket website at edocket.app, the eDocket application at app.edocket.app, and any related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and “you” means both you and that business.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What eDocket is — and what it is not

eDocket helps you work out which permits, licences and registrations a job or business may require in the jurisdictions we cover, prepares application forms from information you provide, and tracks renewal and expiry dates.

eDocket is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney–client relationship. Nothing the Service produces is a legal opinion, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney, a licensed trade professional, or the issuing authority itself.

We are not your agent before any government body. Except where we expressly agree in writing to submit a filing on your behalf, you remain the applicant and the filer of record. You are responsible for reviewing, signing, and submitting your own applications.

We do not guarantee an outcome. Whether a permit is granted, how long it takes, what an inspector decides, and what fee an authority charges are all decisions of that authority, not of Faspro.

Rules change. Our determinations rest on rules we have researched and recorded from primary sources, with a human review step for the modules we mark as verified. Jurisdictions amend their requirements, sometimes without notice. You should confirm anything consequential with the issuing authority before relying on it.

3. Coverage is limited, and we say where

The Service only covers the jurisdictions and permit types listed as available on our coverage and modules pages. Modules marked “Planned” are not available and must not be relied on.

Outside our published coverage, the Service will tell you it cannot give you a verified answer. We do not warrant that any information is accurate or applicable outside the jurisdictions we publish.

4. Your account — one account, one person

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

An eDocket subscription is for one individual user. Accounts may not be shared, resold, or used by more than one person.

One active session. Signing in on a new device ends any previous session. We may review active-session information to detect account sharing.

You are responsible for your login credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at the contact address below if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree to give accurate account information and to keep it current. Much of what the Service produces depends on what you tell it.

5. Free trial

New accounts may start a 7-day free trial. Starting a trial requires a verified email address and a valid payment card. You are not charged during the trial.

One trial per person, per payment card, and per email address. We may refuse or cancel a trial we reasonably believe is a repeat trial or otherwise abusive.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically at the end of the 7 days and your card is charged.

6. Subscription, price and renewal

The subscription is $19.99 per month, in US dollars, for one user. Billing is monthly and renews automatically until cancelled.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your card.

We may change the price. If we do, we will give you notice before the change takes effect, and the new price will apply from your next billing period. Continuing to use the Service after that is acceptance of the new price.

You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your subscription.

7. Government fees are not our fees

Permit, licence, filing, inspection and similar fees are set by, and paid to, the relevant government authority. They are separate from your subscription and are never paid to Faspro.

We do not publish government fee amounts we have not confirmed against the authority's current schedule; where we display a fee or link, the authority's own published figure controls. Always confirm the amount with the authority before paying.

8. Failed payment

If a payment fails, your account moves to read-only access. Your data stays intact and visible; you cannot start new work.

Our payment processor will retry the card. Full access is restored automatically once payment succeeds or you supply a working card.

9. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time, yourself, from inside the Service.

Fees already paid are non-refundable, including for partial periods, except where a refund is required by law. You keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

After that, your account becomes read-only rather than deleted — see the next section.

10. Your data if you cancel or lapse

If you cancel or your subscription lapses, we retain your dockets, filings, client records and renewal history and keep them available to you read-only, indefinitely. You can reactivate at any time and resume where you left off.

You may ask us to delete your account and data — see the Privacy Policy. Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it.

We may delete data from accounts that have been inactive for a long period, but we will give you reasonable notice by email first.

11. What you are responsible for

The Service prepares documents from what you provide. You remain responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of everything you enter, including addresses, property details, entity details and business activities.
  • Reviewing every prepared document before it is signed or filed.
  • Signing, and where required notarising, documents yourself. We never complete a signature or notary block for you.
  • Submitting filings and paying government fees, unless we have expressly agreed in writing to do so for you.
  • Scheduling and attending inspections, and meeting any conditions the authority imposes.
  • Meeting your own renewal deadlines. Our reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee, and are not a substitute for your own diligence.
  • Confirming that any business name, licence status or eligibility is actually available or valid with the relevant authority. We cite the rule; only the authority can clear it.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account, or let anyone else use it.
  • Use the Service to prepare or submit anything false, fraudulent or unlawful.
  • Scrape, spider, bulk-extract, resell or redistribute our rules, citations, determinations or other content.
  • Use automated means to place unreasonable load on the Service, or otherwise interfere with it or attempt to breach its security.
  • Reverse engineer the Service, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law.

Use is subject to fair use. Volumes far outside normal individual use, or usage that indicates sharing or automation, may be limited or suspended.

13. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, interface, rulebook, determinations, citations, compilations and branding, is owned by Faspro or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own business or personal permitting needs while your subscription is active. No other rights are granted.

Government forms and public records are not our property; our rights extend to our own materials and to how we compile, present and enrich them.

14. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and documents you put into the Service (“Your Content”).

You grant us a licence to host, store, process, transmit, display and adapt Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the Service for you, and as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may use aggregated and de-identified information — which does not identify you, your business or your clients — to improve accuracy and coverage.

15. Third-party services and government systems

The Service relies on third parties, including our payment processor, hosting and infrastructure providers, email delivery, and AI model providers. It also links to and depends on government portals and published sources.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party or government systems, or for content on sites we link to.

16. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and we may modify, add or remove features, jurisdictions or modules.

If we make a change that materially reduces the Service and you find it unacceptable, your remedy is to cancel.

17. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faspro disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy, completeness, currency or results.

We do not warrant that any determination is correct, that any application will be accepted, that any deadline reminder will reach you, or that our coverage or rules reflect the most current requirements of any authority.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in that case those parts apply to you only to the extent permitted.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faspro and its owners, officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data, fines, penalties, interest, stop-work orders, project delays or reputational harm, however caused and on any theory of liability.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.

These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose, and they reflect the allocation of risk that makes the Service available at its price.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in that case our liability is limited to the least extent permitted by law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Faspro and its owners, officers, employees and suppliers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, fine, penalty or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, the information you supply, anything you sign or file, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

20. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect account sharing, fraud or abuse, if payment fails and is not resolved, or if we are required to by law.

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity and governing law — survive.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, cancel.

The “last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

You and Faspro agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing anything, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve the matter informally.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
